With few exceptions, there are people that canât figure out the numbers or the formulas, and that can be a rough patch for academics. Children especially have difficult mastering the numbers, and can end up feeling helpless when they canât seem to make things go their way. When it comes to working with numbers, itâs important to look into math homework help to assist with the issue. With a little bit of help, even online math tutor options, things can be turned around for the brighter. This is all a matter of understanding where a childâs coming from and where the true nature of their problems start. Consider the following tips in regard to helping them with math, and youâll find that they can turn things around in due time. Directions Matter The first thing that youâll have to look into, regardless of whether you are tutoring or not, is the directions. Every math concept has specific instructions. There are rarely any âexceptionsâ to the notion of numbers. The formulas and processes that make up the curriculum in this world are directly implemented through rules. Going over the rules with a fine tooth comb can help. Teaming Up With Others When in doubt, a child that is not getting movement forward with math needs a buddy. The buddy system can work within the context of school because they can help each other. One good student can be paired up with an average one and the two can improve on a lot of areas together. This is a great solution that has been proven successful with New York Math Tutors and more. Read more 7 Benefits Of Online Tutoring Smart Way Of Teaching And Learning Finding a Good Starting Point One of the most important aspects of math is in regards to the starting point. Finding a good place to start is always important. Finding out how far behind an individual is, can be crucial. No online math tutor is going to be able to assist without fully understanding where a student is at. That means asking questions as to how far along they are and where they are having trouble in a specific format. Find Your Niche In Online Tutoring And Go Ahead Changing The Notes Many times students assume that note taking can only be done in one style. Thatâs not true at all. With math, note taking can turn into a very personalized manner. For students that are figuring out their work, itâs important to ensure that proper notes are taken, but not in any âformulaâ. Instead, allowing a student to take notes in a way that they will be able to go back and remember is crucial here. Using Familiar Examples One of the best ways to invigorate math problem solving is to use the examples shown in the classroom. Often times the best way to grasp a concept is to repeat it often. Thatâs why teachers go over several methodologies in class. When at home, doing homework, to further grasp the concepts, go over the specific examples from the classroom to revitalize the memory and continue on the path of learning math the proper way. Using Illustrations For Math Concepts Many children find that the best way to get a bit of tutoring is through illustrations. Many individuals are visual learners, and math lends itself quite well to this. Finding a way to draw an example with an illustrative language and visual design can help a child learn more about math and the right elements they need to put into place to get the answers. This is a tough concept to grasp at first, but in practice, it works miracles. Consider Problem Solving Steps for math homework When working with math, often times itâs best to follow a tutorial format. That means asking questions as to what the next step is, and then painstakingly going forward with the same rhetoric. Often timeâs children are left to learn without any sort of assistance. With involvement and proper questions being asked, it can be a simple matter of moving forward here. Ask what comes next after every initial step and a child will eventually pick up even the hardest of concepts in regards to arithmetic. Getting A Tutor for math homework Teachers today are stretched farther than ever before. They have to deal with a wide variety of students, and individual attention is proven difficult. Thatâs where a good online math tutor can come in hand. There are several options that you can pursue. Many are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can help with any type of problems. You can use real time video and audio with many teachers using chalkboards and images to help illustrate match concepts. With just a little bit of help, a student can learn alongside the rest of the class. Card Never Do It For Them One of the biggest issues that parents have in regards to helping their children with math is in regards to doing it for them. Itâs tempting to give a child the answers. Frustration can set in, they can end up feeling lost, and parents will want to come in and rescue them. Itâs important to go through the homework slowly, and steadily. If they want to give up, parents shouldnât jump to the answer. Instead, they should work things out with them, even to the point of doing the problems alongside them and speaking out loud the steps. Repetition is the key here. Delighting In math homework Perhaps the most crucial thing that a parent can do to help their children learn math, is to not speak negatively about it. Even if one is not good at the problem solving or formulas, tutors can be called in. A good online math tutor can help teach concepts, and improve attitudes towards math. Math doesnât need to be scary or spoke of in a negative light. Itâs important to pursue helping students slowly, methodically and with patience. Statistics Practice Problems
Statistics Practice Problems How to Pass your Statistics Exam ChaptersBasic Statistics ComputationsQuestion 1: Build a Box Plot Based off of the Following Stem and Leaf PlotQuestion 2: How to Calculate and Interpret the Correlation CoefficientQuestion 3: How to Interpret Statistical TestsGet Extra Statistics HelpWhether youâre studying for AP Statistics, A-level exams, or just need some extra help with your coursework, these practice problems will give you the extra help you need. While statistical methods of analysis and statistical modeling are often linked directly with data analysis, it is important to understand the arithmetic at the root of these analytic methods. While most software packages, like SPSS and Stata require little to no computation on behalf of the statistician, it is important to know how these software work. At the root of most of your statistical analysis is a branch of mathematics called Bayesian statistics. It is not likely that you will have to deal with Bayeâs theorem after your first introductory statistics course , but it is important to always remember the implications of it on whatâs known as Bayesian inference. In statistics, you use inference to be able to predict the likelihood of specific events based on previous, observational data.Bayeâs theorem uses probability to describe the likelihood of an event happening given previous information of that same event occurring, also called a prior. For example, if you would like to calculate the probability that the ice cream truck in your neighborhood will come to day, given that it is a sunny day, you can use previous, empirical data to estimate how likely it is that you will get your cone today. The definition of Bayesian inference, then, is deducing the likelihood of an event from a population distribution using Bayeâs theorem. This is the basis of many statistics problems and tests you will encounter, and it is important to remember because many times you will not see it explicitly. This guide will offer three sections of examples that jump off from this theory, each section building on this theory. Most likely, you have taken an introduction to probability and understand the importance of conditional probability in building even the most simple exploratory data analysis. Statistics and probability go hand and hand, which is why itâs important to understand before practicing these problems. The definitions and skills you need to understand to work out the problems in this section include:Central Limit TheoryCentral TendencyStandard Normal DistributionSample Mean, Median and ModeQuestion 1: Build a Box Plot Based off of the Following Stem and Leaf PlotBoth the box plot and the stem and leaf diagrams are different ways of displaying the distribution of a particular variable in your data. The difference is that a box plot displays how your data is distributed based on a normal distribution. In order to be able to build the box plot, is important to understand what each point on the plot represents. The median is middle, where 1, 2, 3, and 4 represent the four different quartiles of your data. Meaning, if we take the first quartile, this means that 25% of your data lie in this region. At quartil e 3, this means that 75% of your data lie at that point and below. Quartile 0 represents the minimum and quartile 4 represents the maximum. This is then compared to a normal distribution:A recurring feature in statistics, understanding a normal distribution is keyLooking at the picture above, we can see that about 50% of our data will fall between Q1 and Q3. Below Q1 or above Q3, only about 25% of our data lies. Beyond the minimum and maximum, these data points are considered outliers. An outlier is a data point that is not normal in relation to the sample population. Understanding this information, we can calculate that given this stem and leaf plot:Stem-and-leaf plots can often be a great way to understand dataOur box-plot that looks like:Master your box-plot interpretation skills AisvaryaData Analysis Teacher 5.00 (4) £25/h1st lesson free!Discover all our tutors AdeyemiData Analysis Teacher 5.00 (4) £25/h1st lesson free!Discover all our tutors AdenikeData Analysis Teacher 5. 00 (4) £25/h1st lesson free!Discover all our tutors GokhanData Analysis Teacher 5.00 (4) £30/h1st lesson free!Discover all our tutors OlawaleData Analysis Teacher £12/h1st lesson free!Discover all our tutors ThanushanData Analysis Teacher 5.00 (4) £25/h1st lesson free!Discover all our tutors AisvaranData Analysis Teacher 5.00 (4) £25/h1st lesson free!Discover all our tutors Muhammad umairData Analysis Teacher 5.00 (2) £100/h1st lesson free!Discover all our tutorsQuestion 2: How to Calculate and Interpret the Correlation CoefficientBuilding on the last section, it is important to understand how particular variables within your data set relate to one another. This is especially useful because regardless of the types of data you will come across, you will be able to apply these tools regardless of what kinds of statistical concepts you are using. One important table that you will encounter is a correlation and covariance table between the variables in your dataset.Whereas the definition of correlation is the strength of the relationship between two variables, the covariance refers to how these two variables vary together. The objective of these numbers is to be able to measure how closely each variable relates to one another. For example, if you have a dataset relating to healthy children in middle school, height and weight will most likely have a high correlation. On the other hand, variables like height and favorite color probably won't have a high correlation. Under regression models, the computation and interpretation of the correlation coefficient is extremely important. The most common table looks like this, and is called a Product Pearson Correlation Table:Correlation tables can be straightforward when you master how to interpret and analyze themThe numbers in the table represent the correlation coefficient, which is a measure of how strong the relationship is between the variables in the table. In order to calculate the correlation coefficient, the only factors you need are the sample standard deviation and the sample covariance. The standard deviation is the measure of how far your data is spread around the mean, not to be confused with the standard error, which is how far your data is spread around the mean based not around your sample data but off of the actual population. The covariance, on the other hand, is the measure of how two variables vary together, which is very dependent on your sample data. The covariance should not be confused with the variance, which only measures how one variable varies inside of a data set.The correlation coefficient interpretation follows three basic rules. The first is that the numbers along the diagonal should always be one. The diagonal represents the correlation between the the variable with itself, which should always be 1, or 100%. For example, when the correlation between the variable favorite color and the same variable is 100%.The second rule is that higher above 50% correlation s hould be considered a high correlation, while below 50% should be considered a weak correlation. In this example, while favorite color has only 4% correlation with weight, weight and height have a strong correlation of almost 90%.The third rule is, while correlations below 50% are normally considered weak, it doesn't mean they cannot be of interest to you. In this example, favorite color has a 57% correlation with gender. While this isn't too strong of a correlation relative to the table, it does signal towards differences in gender that might be worth while to investigate further.Question 3: How to Interpret Statistical TestsStatistics, as you may have noticed, relies heavily on the information you have already learned. Therefore, it is important to master the basics of statistics before you can begin to understand and practice statistical tests. The interpretation of statistical tests will be different depending on which test you are performing. The two most common tests you will l earn at the beginning of your statistics career are:Chi Square TestT-TestBoth tests involve hypothesis testing, which utilizes statistics to test whether variables within the data are related or not. A t-test compares the means of two variables and gives you insight on how these two variables are related. For example, when comparing between a new drug and a placebo, the health scores of two groups of patients can be analyzed using a t-test.A chi-square test, on the other hand, can either be used to determine whether the distribution of the sample data matches to a population, or whether two variables in a contingency table are related to one another. The first test is called a chi-square goodness of fit test, while the other is called a chi-square test for independence. An example of a chi-square test for independence can be found when trying to see whether level of educated is related to marital status by comparing them withing a contingency table. If you're confused about what test to perform for your set of data, check this guide out!Get Extra Statistics HelpLuckily, there are many resources that can provide helpful tips and tutorials if you are struggling with statistics. These range from a wide variety of online platforms, such as Superprof and Khan Academy, to textbooks and other reading material. One great source for getting extra statistics help online is Wolfram Math and Statistics How To. Both online platforms not only lay out the mathematical components of statistical concepts, but also explain them in thorough detail. If you need further explanations, heading over to Youtube can be a life-saver. If you're looking for helpful video tutorials, it is often best to search the keywords of the statistics terms you are struggling with and browse to see which video has the best material. If you'd prefer for someone to explain it to you in person, in-person tutoring is a great option. The best way to take advantage of this is to not be afraid to ask your prof essor for some extra help. Everybody learns at a different pace and in different ways, so it is important to keep that in mind as you continue on through your statistics journey.
A Little Bit of Country Easy Classic Country Songs for Guitarists
A Little Bit of Country Easy Classic Country Songs for Guitarists Sign up successful From the early days when he was writing hits like Crazy for Patsy Cline, to the 80s gypsy anthem On the Road Again, Nelson has inspired several generations of guitarists with his guitar Trigger, a 1969 Martin N-20 guitar. Nelson says that his favorite guitar player is Django Reinhardt. His simple chord progressions often flavor Django-like riffs, making his tunes perfect for someone learning guitar, but also great for more experienced musicians. So whether youre a beginner or an advanced guitarists, here are two Willie Nelson hits youll love to play. Crazy Written by Willie Nelson Recorded by Patsy Cline Crazy has a good amount of chord changes over relatively simple chords. The song is slow enough that the chord changes are not too difficult, but once mastered, this is a very satisfying song to play. It starts on a G chord, then moves to an E chord, which is an extremely easy transition for a beginner guitarist. The E then moves to an Am chord, which is the same chord form, just moved to different strings. Next, move to D7. This simple pattern repeats for the rest of the verse, before moving to a basic C-G-D7 pattern for the chorus, with an A7 thrown in for good measure. So instead of including difficult jumps and chord movements, Nelson shows an economy of motion when he moves from one simple chord to another. Plus, the song includes simple chords that any beginner should know. G E7 Am Crazy Im crazy for feeling so lonely D7 G Im crazy crazy for feeling so blue E7 Am I know youd love me as long as you wanted D7 G And then someday youd leave me for somebody new C G Worry why do I let myself worry A7 D7 Wondering what in the world did I do G E7 Am Crazy for thinking that my love could hold you C D7 Am G Im crazy for trying crazy for crying Am D7 G And Im crazy for lov-ing you E7 Am Crazy Im crazy for feeling so lonely D7 G Im crazy crazy for feeling so blue E7 Am I know youd love me as long as you wanted D7 G And then someday youd leave me for somebody new C G Worry why do I let myself worry A7 D7 Wondering what in the world did I do G E7 Am Crazy for thinking that my love could hold you C D7 Am G Im crazy for trying crazy for crying Am D7 G And Im crazy for lov-ing you On the Road Again Written and Recorded by Willie Nelson This classic country song has a gospel-like chord progression. It moves from the beginning C chord to an E7, and just like many gospel songs, moves to a Dm chord before finishing with a standard cadence of F to G. The chorus is also interesting, as it revolves around the simple I IV V of C F and G, but Nelson uses the Dm and the E7 chords to flavor the chorus. This simple but catchy song is easy to learn, and satisfying to the beginning guitarist whos learning to branch out from the basics of I IV and V, and add a few more chords to their bag of tricks. Thatâs how all the great artists ha ve done it.Oil Painters Writing on Oil PaintingYet, the paintings themselves only tell you so much about the creative process â" and the mode of thinking â" that went into the production of these pieces of art.The resource that is much better for this sort of thing â" for insights into the minds of artists themselves â" are the books written by the artists themselves.Take Wassily Kandinskyâs Concerning the Spiritual in Art, for example, which explores the significance of compositional form and colour. Or take John Ruskinâs, the Victorian art critic, book Lectures on Landscape. Learn how to paint - and put your own work up for exhibit!Donât Forget Your Own ResourcesYet, what needs to be stressed in all this is that there is a resource that isnât in any sense physical, purchasable, or findable online.Thatâs your own will to create.Because, without this, watching videos on YouTube or reading art history books will be worthless. To really improve your painting, you have to sit down and paint, sketch, compose, and edit. Thatâs the long and short of it. And, in many ways, everything else can be a bit of a distraction. So, if you want to be a painter, get off the internet. Instead, go and pick up your paint brush and create something beautiful.

Playing games is an effective way to challenge yourself, stimulate your speaking ability, and recall typical conversational phrases and verbs. By repeating after the audio prompts, you improve your vocabulary, fluency, and accent. 3. Go Shopping Another fun way to practice speaking Spanish is to go to the farmers market or other locale (like a Hispanic store) where there are Spanish-speaking employees. You can go shopping, pick up some healthy vegetables, and practice your Spanish at the same time. In addition to asking about prices, you can also ask about the various products (where is this grown? What do you make with this vegetable?). You can also ask questions about the person youre speaking to (where are you from? Whats your favorite thing to do?). 4. Listen to Music If you like music, this idea will be right up your alley. Put on some Spanish music as you do daily tasks, and sing along. If you dont know the songs, you can look up the lyrics to help you sing or read along. Gather a group of friends and have a Spanish-language karaoke night! Singing along to Spanish songs will strengthen your sense of Spanish syntax and grammar, and you might find the lyrics spilling over into conversation! 5. Try a New Restaurant Grab some friends and head to a local Hispanic restaurant. When you arrive, ask the waiter if you can practice your Spanish. As you order your food and chat with your server, youll wow your friends and get some valuable conversation practice. Dont forget to leave a Yelp review and a generous tip to thank your waiter for helping you practice! 6. Find a Pen Pal Lastly, another great way to practice speaking Spanish is to find a Spanish-language pen pal. As you exchange emails, you can also schedule Skype dates so you can chat about your week, the news, and whatever other information you would like to exchange. This is an ideal way to improve your conversational Spanish, as it offers a regular opportunity to practice, and you can build on previous conversations. Solve Linear Equations Online Tutoring
Solve Linear Equations Online Tutoring Linear equations are the equation where the highest degree of the variable is one. Simple linear equations are very commonly used in algebra and many other topics. There are various mathematical operations which are used to simplify the linear equations. In a linear equation there can be more than one variable but the condition is all the variable cannot have degree or power of the exponent more than one. Example 1: Solve for the variable x in the equation 2(x 2) =15? Solution: Given equation is 2 (x 2) = 15. Here the unknown variable which needs to be solved for is x. First step: Distribute 2 on one side of the equation. This gives, (2x 4) = 15. Add 4 on both sides of the equation: 2x = 19. Now dividing both sided of the equation by 2. This gives 2x/2 = 19/2. This reduces the given equation to x = 19/2. Hence the solution is x = 9.5. Example 2: Solve for the variable x in the equation 3(x 1) -1 = 26? Solution: Given equation is 3(x 1) -1 = 26. Here the unknown variable which needs to be solved for is x. First step: Add 1 on both sides and distribute 3 to (x - 1) in the equation. This gives, (3x 3) = 27. Add 3 on both sides of the equation: 3x = 30. Now dividing both sided of the equation by 3. This gives 3x/3 = 30/3. This reduces the given equation to x = 30/3. Hence the solution is x = 10.
How is the PLAN Scored
How is the PLAN Scored Consider the PLAN the PSAT for the ACT. Completed in 10th grade, the PLAN enables students to gain firsthand experience with the ACT. Test results range from 1 (lowest) to 32 (highest), with subsections in English and Mathematics marked from 1 to 16. Score reports include an estimated ACT result, as well as information about which skills are strengths and which are weaknesses. What is on the test? The test includes English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science portions. The English section addresses both Usage/Mechanics and Rhetorical Skills, while the Mathematics section focuses on Pre-Algebra through Geometry. The exam allows for 115 minutes for all four portions, and it involves only multiple-choice questions. How is it scored? Like the ACT, there is no penalty for guessing on the PLAN. The number of questions you answer correctly informs your final score. Keep in mind, however, that combined subscores (in English and Mathematics) do not necessarily equal section scores. Here is some great information on how the ACT is scored. What is on the score report? You will receive a score for each section, as well as an overall composite score that is an average of these four portions. Your results will also reflect all subsections. Beside each score is a chart that compares your results to other students who sat for the test at the same time. This chart represents the percentage of students who scored at or below your mark. As previously mentioned, the PLAN prepares you for future ACT testing. Based on your results, the PLAN predicts your likely score on the ACT if you complete the relevant high school courses and continue to achieve at the same level. These scores are sorely estimates, as you have not yet taken the ACT! If you are unhappy with the result the PLAN predicts, this is an excellent opportunity to begin improving your study habits, changing your focus in school, and perhaps seeking additional assistance through tutoring or in-school services. These are some great tips on how to improve your ACT scorethat you may find useful as well. On the reverse of your score report is a detailed list of the skills that were tested on the PLAN. You will also note suggestions to deepen content or skills based on questions you answered incorrectly. Utilize this page to understand where your strengths and weaknesses lie academically. For example, if you erred on all of the possessive pronoun questions, the score report will suggest that you review them. If you do not understand what something means, strike up a conversation with a tutor or teacher about the items you are struggling with in school.
